SO I fell in love with the idea of having a Christmas themed wedding... however December is a VERY BUSY, stressful, and financially tight... time for everyone... and my maid of honor works in retail so December is just about impossible for her to get time off... so then someone suggested Christmas in July... I LOVE ITi s it crazy?  Also-- in Massachusetts in December it does snow! but in July is doesn't! It will be indoors.

I just got engaged and I am thinking July 2013?

I am also on a budget because our parents are unable to help us pay for this, so the theme would really help us save money...
-we could get Christmas decorations right after the holidays next year (if only I knew about this a few weeks ago..).
-I am picturing candy cane hearts, pointsettas (they have summr blooming pointsettas as cheap as winter ones.. yes!),
-Christmas ornament favors (maybe even a decorate it yourself station).
-A Christmas tree as a gift area

Help!! PLEASE tell me if you think it is CRAZY :)

If I personally were to do a Christmas in July theme, I don't think I would go Christmas-themed but more winter themed.  Even then, I'm thinking people will side-eye.

What I will say is this:  I got married in November.  If you're worried about money, it is probably cheaper to get married in the "off-season" (October-April, usually) because so many vendors are cheaper at that time.

Lastly, some people hate Christmas.  I personally love it, but some people will gag at the thought of one more month being taken up by the holiday.  I would just keep these things in mind if you decide to go ahead with it.

Okay-- I have passed my temporary bride insanity with the Christmas in July idea, I do support anyone else wanting to do it LaughingBut I really wanted to do a winter Christmas wedding... and well the cons aren't really that strong. Yay Christmas wedding :) I really wasn't excited at all about my wedding until I came across this theme.
